Pushpa 2: The Rule is the thrilling second installment of the film Pushpa: The Rule

It continues the journey of a protagonist Pushpa Raj, (Allu Arjun) who is gradually rising as a menacing figure in the distribution of red sanders. This time, Pushpa comes across so many new challenges in his field, his enemies and hard decisions to make. The sequel to Pushpa directed by Sukumar has gained the attention of the mass as people liked the first part of the movie. But does it? and that’s Pushpa 2. Let me check what people, both critics and the fans, have to say about it.

Story and Plot

Pushpa 2 stars exactly from where its prequel ended and here is how it unfolds. Pushpa Raj has turned muscular and is controlling huge smuggling business. But now, he is in even worse trouble because the police are after him as well as rival gangs. That is why in this movie there are more scenes of Pushpa in his private life – not only the love triangle with his girlfriend, Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna) but also the confrontation with a narcotics officer, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil).

The movie make you sit at the edge of the seat because of the lot of action and drama is involved. Pushpa requires to solve some severe problems, and sometimes, he has to be either a good person, or a bad one. Still it seems that the story really gets interesting according to some of the reviews, and while there are parts that are somewhat slow, they could have been shorter.

 

Acting and Characters

Applause goes to the acting in Pushpa 2. Allu Arjun, who replicates Pushpa, has been fabulous here. He gets Pushpa to look and act cool and tough yet he shows us how he feels and even when he fights. Some of these critics have specifically stated that Allu Arjun has acquitted himself as the leading man in the best possible manner deliverer of a memorable performance.

Rashmika Mandanna comes up as Srivalli, the actress appearing as Pushpa’s girlfriend. She does a great job too in depicting care for Pushpa even though the man is part of a dangerous world. They have good chemistry with each other and their interactions are sweet. There are still room for some of the plot to develop on how important character Srivalli is still portrayed good enough for the movie.

The Malayali actor Fahadh Faasil is the negative character SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat a smart cop who intends to capture Pushpa. Especially, the role that requires some negative shade of character acting which, to nutshell Fahadh does a fantastic job of. He is wise and whenever he confronts Pushpa, a lot of action happens. His acting according to his critics is good and he helps a lot in terms of bringing some energy into the movie.

But there are other characters also in the movie such as Prakash Raj and Sunil though the whole theme of the movie is based on Pushpa character and his competitors.

Direction and Cinematography

The director Sukumar has done it again. He ensures that something new is always happening in the movie all the time is interesting. There are many slow scenes where little happens in terms of action but skin crawl or hairs stand on end each time Sukumar captures the raw emotions of the characters. He can make everything as if it were very serious and the film itself seemed genuine even if it is about smuggling and crime.

The part about cinematography, which is how the movie looks, is nice. The forests and the villages appearances looks very beautiful and the scenes which have fights and adventurous workouts are cinematographed beautifully. It is employment of camera work through lens that make everything to appear bigger and more exciting. That is why staking scenes or fighting scenes are shot with much energy, which makes them extremely exciting.

 

Music and Songs

To recall, Devi Sri Prasad has supplied the music for the first movie in the franchise and he has returned to compose the songs for Pushpa 2. His music is awesome, with JPP style beats which match with the action packed funs. The songs are good and as for the background score it did add more then just the intensity to the movie. People can never forget ‘Srivalli’ song in the first movie and audience is keen to listen the songs in this second part. According to some reviews, some of them are of the opinion that at times the song feels interpolated while sometimes it does make a beautiful lot of sense, all in all people like the songs.

Action Scenes

Secondly, one of the things that those who want to watch Pushpa 2 love most is action. There are many explosive sequences, where Pushpa comes against his opponents. Whether Sano and his followers are chasing through a wooded area or battling within a city, the film is very intense. Lovers of action movies will not be let down. The furious are incredibly realistic and make you feel the presence of our heroes and villains.



There are also some fine action scenes and big scenes that will give a feeling of jumping with joy. The action is one of the things that have fans of the movie so pumped for Pushpa 2.

 

Final Thoughts

Pushpa 2: The Rule is an excellent Part 2 that does not let you quit reading from the beginning till the end. Man who plays the lead character, Allu Arjun is fabulous and with the high voltage action, the movie is lots of fun. At some points one may even get a little bored just because some sequences are kind of heavy on the story telling but other than that, this movie is filled with intense excitement, drama and action. The lovers of the first show shall definitely enjoy this one and it is best for those who enjoy watching action movies.

This is a perfect film with great acting, good directing and splendid stunts. If you like the first Pushpa movie then trust me you will like the second movie Pushpa 2 even more. I am sure Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil adding more charm to this movie and you surely don’t want to miss it.
