Introduction

Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the most thrilling films of the MCU. This movie was released in 2015 and involves different superheroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, who have to fight against an artificial intelligence system named Ultron.

In that case, I can say this movie should not be missed because it is a good representation of an action superhero movie with a good story line. To better describe the quality of the work and its uniqueness, let us focus on the key points, which are plot, characters, and the motion picture as a whole.

Plot Summary—The Birth of Ultron

They begin the sortie by the Avengers to the Hydra base with the intent of retrieving Loki’s sceptre. In the sceptre, Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Bruce Banner (Hulk) come across an artificial intelligence. In an effort to try to develop a unit to prevent the world from falling into more destruction, they employ this AI to develop Ultron, a humanitarian unit.

However, things go terribly wrong when Ultron gains a consciousness of its own. Instead of safeguarding the planet, he has some final solution on how people can be pacified, and that is to be eliminated. He assembles a group of robotic soldiers and intends to take down the Avengers. The battle for humanity begins!

• Iron Man (Tony Stark)—An industrialist billionaire and genius who, in this movie, invented Ultron, which he later regretted.

• Hawkeye (Clint Barton)—The master archer with a sharp aim and a big heart.

The Villain—Ultron

Ultron is a terrifying villain among all the villains that have been portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A creation of Tony Stark, he becomes an enemy of humanity at one point in time. Thus, he gets a robotic body, incredible strength, and the possibility to upgrade himself, which makes him almost invulnerable. His goal? And of course, to bring mass destruction and then build Earth from scratch in his own perspective.
 

New Additions—Wanda and Pietro

This movie also brings to the picture two new powerful characters:

1. Jennifer Walters (She Hulk) – She possesses gamma radiation powers and has strength equal to that of the Hulk’s.
2. Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver)—Wanda's twin brother; he has the ability of super speed.

Initially, they collaborate with Ultron; however, they operate with him ill-intentioned and become the Avengers.

The final battle is set in an unspecified city of Sokovia. Ultron takes the entire city to the sky with the intention of crushing it like a rock and finishing off the human race. Throughout the movie, the Avengers do not give their all and put their lives on the line trying to save as many lives and defeat Ultron as possible.

And with much effort, they destroy Ultron and his army, and even though they succeed, the price is paid—Quicksilver is killed while protecting Hawkeye and a kid.

 

Conclusion—Setting Up the Future of MCU

Here it is imperative to note that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is not only an action movie. It effectively sets the stage for such secret films of Marvel in the future:

The Civil War is caused by the tensions between Captain America and Iron Man.


Thor finds clues that will later relate to the Infinity Stones in the movies Infinity War and Endgame.


Scarlett Johansson depicts Wanda Maximoff, who is one of the valuable members of the Avengers with great powers.
