Introduction

When Guardians of the Galaxy first premiered in 2014, nobody thought that the film would be one of the most popular Marvel superhero movies. It opens with a young man, who is Peter Quill, stealing something that is called an orb, which is shortly revealed to be one of the Infinity Stones. This makes him the target of Ronan the Accuser, who wants the stone for his nefarious deeds.

On his way, he learns that he has to work with Gamora, Rocket, Groot, and Drax. In the beginning they are enemies, but of course in the course of rescuing Raya, to kill the antagonist Steven, they become friends. Their mission? Save the game from Ronan, who aims to bring destruction to an entire planet.

This is more or less an action movie with lots of fight scenes, funny speeches, and tender scenes as well. While the game does successfully achieve all of these, the quality that sets it apart is the interaction between the two main characters.

The Power of Music in Guardians of the Galaxy

The plot of the movie is accompanied by rather peculiar music, which contributes a lot to the overall picture. The music of this film, mostly composed of songs from the ‘70s and the ‘80s, specifically from Awesome Mix Vol. 1, became a hit as the film itself. Such songs as Hooked on a Feeling and Come and Get Your Love gave the movie a special atmosphere that was not present in other superhero films.
